On July 16th, 2016, President M88youngling of the reformed LittleBigPlanet Union resigned from office alongside all of the Protectors at the Union summit. This left the Union without a core executive group and plunged it into a forced state of reformation that current is ongoing in the form of several reconvened summits.

Prelude[]

In Early July, discussion about a proposal to regulate espionage and foreign affairs in the Union ended in a stalemate as Dark Akatsuki representatives Cold_Wolf102 and Kyuubi_Youko_9 stood against the proposal, citing that it would give too much power to the Protectors. As President M88youngling looked to move everyone to Discord rather than handling communications on Kik messenger, it was decided among the Protectors that the Union did not really need their leadership. The Protectors agreed to resign at the upcoming summit.

The Resignation[]

At the summit, President M88youngling immediately began with his resignation and published a Press Conference detailing an explanation on how it would effect the Union. The resignation created a multitude of problems, such as the lack of ability for the Union to accept new clans, kick current clans and enforce activity quotas. At his speech, M88youngling proposed an interpretation of the Novus Carta's Article 2 Section 1. Particularly, the section which states that "the General Assembly can override any [decision] with a resolution." President M88youngling proposed that this would allow the representatives to be able to take up vital actions if necessary until a solution was found to fix the hole in the government.

Discussion about an amendment began immediately, leading to the proposal of the Commissioner Accord from the New Lunar Republic. It has yet to be approved by the required number of representatives or clan legislatures.
