Dark Zephyr Republic, sometimes shortened as Dark Zephyr, was a clan run by Hardware34 as a successor to the Lightning Aerodex Clan.

Overview[]

Dark Zephyr an organization that originally began as the Lightning Aerodex Clan. The clan lasted until the end of the Shadow Epoch era, until it was revitalised as a new clan, known as the Enclave.

Leadership[]

The original draft was to have Hardware and Caboose as the leader and co-leader respectively. But, as Caboose had disagreed with the new style of the mew clan, he quickly opted out, leaving Hardware solely in charge.

History[]

Becoming Dark Zephyr[]

Seeing how clans were structured at the time, Hardware decided to rebrand the LAC into Dark Zephyr, choosing the name from his old friend DragonZaris' short-lived group, Zephyr XX.

Hardware's second-in-command, Caboose, grew to dislike this change, and left the clan. Hardware would later find new commanders in the form of Evil_Doer500, Lew1999 and Thebruceys. Despite his leave, Caboose remained in contact with Hardware, and nonetheless supported his actions.

The Emergence of LAMSTAR[]

The DZR's first opponent would become the newly emerged LAMSTAR, an infamous group led by Lewis300199, who had made a name for themselves by targetting other clans and claiming victory over them.

An opportunist at heart, Hardware took on Lewis' challenge, unleashing his perfected weapon against Lewis' one. Lewis, refusing to lose or even have a draw, retreated, unintentionally leaving his mech for Hardware to take.

Naturally, Lewis claimed victory over Hardware, despite his retreat, so Hardware issued a rematch. Lewis initially refused, claiming Hardware had lost, but was goaded into accepting after Hardware stated he had improved his weapon.

The two fought again, and Hardware managed to again back Lewis into a corner, having reverse engineered Lewis' technology into his own weapon. Once again, Lewis retreated.

Sven's Chill Clan[]

With Lewis on the backfoot, Hardware and his new recruits later encountered a group calling themselves Sven's Chill Clan, led by Svenak47. Initially, the two sides got along well, until Svenak began demanding for Hardware to gameshare; illegally sharing purchased downloadable content; with him, threatening to hack Hardware's account if he didn't. Hardware was undeterred and decided to engage with SCC.

Amidst their conflict, Hardware noticed that SCC had begun copying Hardware's own clan, and even tried to pass themselves off as the LAC, Hardware's previous clan. Annoyed, Hardware created a create war video discrediting SCC as thieves, humiliating them.

At some point after this, Hardware made an alliance with former LAC member TopBooger's clan, and Recluse, a group led by Gallifrey10.

Vorox Corporation[]

Some time later, Hardware learned that ChimeranDinos, a past ally, had returned with a brand new group, Vorox Corporation. Hardware was ecstatic that Chimera had jumped back into the clanning community, and learned that Chimera had his sights set on defeating Lewis.

Unfortunately, Hardware discovered that Chimera had in fact bartered an alliance with Lewis, while also becoming dismissive towards Hardware. Furious, Hardware produced a create war video against Chimera, who lost due to bad luck in creating response. Hardware later apologised for his actions.

United Order[]

Later, Hardware was visited by TFudgey7 of the Axis Alliance, who issued a threat stating that it was decided that Axis would terminate Dark Zephyr in its bid to cleanse the community.

Hardware quickly called together his allies; Chimera, TopBooger and Gallifrey, and proposed that they should try to fight fire with fire in order to stop Axis from attacking. Hardware's first perceived idea saw Chimera as its leader with Hardware as his right hand man, but Chimera planned to place Lewis as his right hand instead. Hardware decided to double down on his idea, this time keeping Chimera out of the loop.

With Top, Gallifrey and Hardware's own clan members in support of the idea, Hardware created the United Order.

Closure and Revival[]

Unfortunately, things were not to be as they were planned. Top had closed down his clan as it was deemed a failure, opting to join Dark Zephyr in order to help Hardware on this front.

Things only continued to worsen from there, when Thebruceys outed himself as an Axis spy. Later, Hardware was personally invited to an Axis meeting, where several Axis members, including Chimera, heckled him and his group, mockingly calling them the "United Odor". Chimera revealed that he had been the one who planted Thebruceys as a spy, but then claimed to have had another spy; Hardware's most trusted lieutenant, Evil.

Betrayed, Hardware decided to shut down both Dark Zephyr and the United Order, and decided to open a new career aimed towards film-making, joined by Caboose, Top, Lew and a few other friends Hardware had made as clan leader. The project was eventually joined by Evil, who had remorse for his actions. Sometime into this venture, Hardware hosted a pair of Hunger Games-themed tournaments, participated by several of his friends, both in and out of the clan community.

Some time afterwards, Hardware and Evil began working on a new project, when they had an epiphany. The two began working towards building a brand new clan, and planned to launch it under the name "Operation: Enclave".
